Built by tradesmen
Founded in 2023. Nine projects running at once, 15+ tradesmen, and the majority of our turnover from clients who come back. We are not a large firm - we just get treated like one.
Our road so far
We started small in 2023: one-off jobs, a handful of clients, doing everything ourselves. The first year was about proving the work held up. That proof brought the next project, and that one brought the next.
Today we run nine projects at once, from wall openings in homes to steel reinforcement in industrial buildings. The jobs have got bigger; the way we work has not changed: calculate first, execute second, and the client knows where it stands every week.
How we leave a site behind
Structural work is dusty, loud and messy. We cannot remove that, but we can limit it. We keep noise as low as the work allows, work with dust control where possible, and remove rubble in a controlled way rather than leaving it standing.
- Reusing material where it is structurally sound to do so
- Advice on material choices that need less replacing later
- Rubble separated and removed
- Site handed over clean, not clean enough
Good work does not stop at the structure. It includes what you leave behind. Standard on every project we run.
What we will not compromise
Work ethic
A commitment is a commitment. If we say Monday, we are there Monday.
No delays
Delay costs a contractor more than the invoice. We plan so it does not happen.
Accountable
Whoever takes the job stays responsible through to handover.
Craft over speed
Structural work has no shortcuts. Calculate, prop, then demolish.
How the work runs
We work in a weekly cycle. Every project is tracked by week number, with hour reports and invoicing on the same cycle. You see week by week which hours went where - no argument about the final account afterwards.
With 15+ tradesmen we scale without a hiring cycle. When work comes in, a crew is ready. That is why commercial clients keep coming back.
Where we are going
In three years Nest Up went from one man with a welding set to nine concurrent projects. No sales department, no advertising. Work comes in because clients pass our name on, and because commercial partners rehire us job after job - which in practice is the same thing: a recommendation earned on delivered work.
We are growing in both directions: more commercial partners and more private clients. The goal behind it is simple: that a contractor with a load-bearing wall to remove, and a homeowner planning a renovation, both know straight away who to call.
Why Nest Up
What you will not have to worry about
No half job on your house
Removing a load-bearing wall is not a handyman job. Structural work is our daily trade, not a sideline.
No paperwork for you
We do the structural calculation and the permit application. No hunting for an engineer, no trips to the council.
No surprise on the invoice
Once measured, the price is fixed. What we could have foreseen, we do not bill for afterwards.
No building site for months
We set the programme in advance and hold to it. Your home is not a storage yard for unfinished work.
No contractor who stops answering
One project lead you know and can reach. The same person from first visit to handover.
No second contractor to find
After the structure we do the roof, the services and the finishing. We take the rubble away too.
Equipment
What we work with
On structural work in existing buildings, access is usually the deciding factor. We work with compact tracked cranes that fit through a doorway, cross a footbridge, and set up inside the house itself. Plant is hired in per project, matched to what the job needs.
On site
Outriggers / lifting
Set up in a rear garden
On outriggers in a back garden, ready to lift. Each leg is set independently so the crane stands level and stable even on uneven ground.
Work delivered

Indoor / live venue
Working on the piste - Snow World
Set up on the snow inside an operating ski hall, steel sections laid out ready for erection. Soft, slick ground in a building that stays open puts real demands on the set-up: spreader plates, controlled loading, phasing around opening hours.

Hoeflon C6 / 3,000 kg / 16 m
Setting steel into the rear wall
Set up beside the house while the frame goes into the rear elevation. Lifting capacity is 3,000 kg, close to the machine's own weight, and it is built by the manufacturer for accurately positioning steel beams.

Bulk bags / material and rubble
Materials in and out over water
Material and rubble move in and out by bulk bag across the water. At properties with no rear access, logistics govern the programme as much as the structural work itself.
Business
Partner with us
The structural element is where a programme breaks. Wrong crew, late on site, or someone who only discovers on site that the detail does not work. We are the firm that takes that part off your hands - not job by job, but as a standing arrangement.
Who we partner with
- Main contractors and builders
- Property developers
- Building associations and managers
- Structural and engineering consultancies
- M&E contractors
- Investors and property owners
Why partner with us
Because we turn up on time
Monday agreed means Monday on site. Delay in the structural element stalls your whole programme - we take that risk off you.
Because we work accurately
We build to your drawing and calculation, within the stated tolerances. What we install fits at handover.
Because we stay accountable
One point of contact from quote to handover. If something goes wrong you hear it from us - not from your client.
Because we think along
If a detail does not work in practice, we flag it before erection. That saves rework nobody budgeted for.
Outsourcing structural work?
Send your drawings or call directly. We tell you what we can do and when - including when the answer is no.
