The challenge
The building needed restoring after a fire. With fire damage the visible damage isn't the whole story - the question is what the heat did to the structure.
The electrical installation also no longer met requirements and needed full replacement.
Our approach
The structure was assessed for the effects of heat exposure before any restoration. Restoring onto a compromised structure is wasted work.
Walls and doors were replaced, soot removed and substrates treated before finishing.
The consumer unit was replaced and the installation rewired where required.
Outcome
A restored building with an electrical installation that meets requirements again.
Structural assessment first, not afterwards.
